Albert Kingwell : ウィキペディア英語版 | Albert Kingwell
Albert Edward Kingwell (c. 1863 - November 1949) was an English surveyor and architect who for 50 years oversaw the Jack Estate at Hadley Wood in Hertfordshire. When in private practice it was claimed that he was one of the first architects to build and reinforce buildings in London using concrete.〔Clark, Nancy. (1978) ''Hadley Wood: Its Background and Development''. 2nd revised edition. pp. 118-122.〕 Although not a churchgoer, Kingwell arranged for the conveyance from the Duchy of Lancaster of an acre of land on which Hadley Wood's small St Paul's Church was built. He also presented a stained window to the church.〔 Kingwell was a member of Enfield Council for the west ward.〔 A Kingwell Road exists in Hadley Wood, named after him,〔 which runs parallel with Monken Mead Brook. == References ==
